Youth Ministries

Welcome Back on Sunday September 24, 2017.

Our  Children's  Liturgy program will resume on Sunday  September  24  at  the  11:00  a.m.  Mass . If your child is comfortable enough  to be left alone with our team of catechists  in the hall during the Liturgy of the Word part of the Mass, and they are from the ages of 3 to 10 then we welcome them to join us. The children are invited by Fr. Tony to come to the sanctuary area  to help us sing the Gloria, then they are dismissed to the hall downstairs for the readings. They listen to the readings in a child friendly language that they can understand and they are welcomed back to the Mass for the Liturgy of Eucharist at the presentation of the gifts. We are always  looking  for catechists to join our team....young adults, not so young adults and high  school  students. (high school students  can  earn community  service  hours  by  volunteering)  Speak to  Melissa Toffolon or Christine  if you are interested in helping the team.

Hallowed Hall

(October 20 & 21) If you are a teen in high school who is interested in designing and helping to run our annual Hallowed Hall, please come out to the meetings. You will receive community service hours for this. We welcome any young adults interested in helping out too. if you have any questions you can leave a message on our Facebook page or email Christine.

Registration Information 2017– 18

If you have children eligible to receive the Sacraments of First Confession/First Reconciliation (Grade Two and up), First Communion (for children in Grade Two and up), or Confirmation (for youth in Grade Eight and up). There will be a Sacramental Registration Day for all parents/guardians. The dates are October 7/8 & October 14/15.  It is important that you register your child on one of these dates. In order to help you gather all the necessary information that you will need in planning for your children, we will supply you with the coming year sacramental schedule at that time.  Registrations take place after all Masses and are no longer than 10 minutes.

The First Confession preparation classes will take place on Wednesday evenings beginning in October. From 6:30 pm– 8:00 pm. We resume with the First Communion preparation in late January on Wednesday evenings, with the same children from the First Confession preparation.  This is a two part preparation.

Our Confirmation preparation classes begin in January and they are on Thursday evenings from 7:00—9:00 pm.
