It is with great joy that we welcome you to the Rose City Central Cathoic Family Parishes- OLPH Church and Immaculate Heart parishes.  Our next Baptism dates for OLPH and Immaculate Heart will take place during our weekend masses. Once the baptism registration form has been received you will be sent an email with the available Mass times and dates.

**A preparation class will be scheduled before the Baptism date. Christine will contact you soon if you have registered your child.

In order for your child to be baptized at our Church you are required to attend a evening baptismal preparation class.

The preparation class for the parents (& godparents if possible) will take place in the hall.

Christine will let you know the preparation night once your Baptismal date has been confirmed.
Your child must be registered in order to attend the preparation classes. You are required to attend the one class.

Godparents are strongly encouraged to attend.

• What if the person I want as a Godparent isn’t Catholic?
  
  A person who is baptized, in a Christian faith may serve as a Christian witness along with the Catholic Godparent. This person needs to be Baptized in a Christian faith and be over the age of 16. During the baptism, a Christian witness performs all the parts of the ceremony that a godparent does. His or her name will be entered into the Sacrament Record Book as a “Christian witness”, together with the name of the Godparent.

• Baptism will take place with other families/children. It will not be a private Baptism . They will take place during our weekend Masses.

• It is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that everyone invited understands that they cannot attend if they have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19. 

• You will receive two reserved pews, which seat 14- 16 people. Other guests may attend however they will be seated among the parishioners in the unreserved pews.
